There are two main airports: Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport:
This airport is the biggest in France and is located 23 km north east of Paris; it has an integrated train system serving it. Takes around 45 minutes using the REP rapid TGV train to reach Paris . Other options connecting to Paris and different cities are the REB Metroline, taxis and the Roissy Buses.
One of the bussiest airports in the continent and 15 km South of Paris, it handles more than a thousand commercial and private flights per year. It provides plenty of options of transportation, specially to regional and national railways, facilitating the access to the whole country. Orly Airport and the RER/metrostation "Antay" are connected by the Orlyval. The trip to Paris takes around 8 minutes.
Paris has one of the most efficient metro systems of the world. It is a cheap choice of transportation for whom wants to discover Paris in a few days. The usual fare is 1.40 Euros per trip. It is possible to get a discounted package by buying 10 tickets - the fare would be 10,50.
Tip: When traveling to the airport, request a Carte Prange, or Carte Paris Visite which indludes the airport zone.
Another option is to buy the airport ticket separately: line B of the RER or Roissy Bus (departuring from Opera) which costs 8.30 Euro.
